Systems Analyst
The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business and functional requirements, collaborating with the technology team to document technical specifications, tracking change requests, researching technical questions, and leading the user acceptance testing effort for Allrecipes international expansion. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to development of the new solution set, leveraging the highly successful Allrecipes core site and building out new community-enhancing features. The position will report to the Director of International Solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Documentation: High level and detailed technical specifications for communication with the developers. This may include CSS updates, data requirements, caching times, nightly jobs, error scenarios. Occasionally third party applications may be investigated for integration with the platform.
- Change Management: Track change requests from business and editorial. Consolidate into maintenance releases.
- Research: Assist with editorial research requests and queries. May occasionally investigate third party technologies for possible integration with the platform or leveraging best-practices with new features.
- Updates: Occasionally may be required to update HTML for newsletters or other documents.
- Leading UAT: Create user acceptance test plans and execute them for platform features to check browser compatibility, usability, and adherence to the specifications for the project. UAT may include reading XML from third party vendors, or updating HTML. Coordinate editorial UAT with international content manager and country editors. Serve as point person for UAT bug documentation, tracking, and retesting.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience as a System Analyst with online applications or similar work experience with websites.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and .NET framework (C#, ASP, ASP.NET, SQL Server.)
- Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio)
- Experience documenting functional and/or technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, listening, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of the standard development lifecycle.

Advertising Product Manager
The Advertising Product Manager is responsible for assisting the Ad Products team to analyze and build successful ad products to build revenue.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as the champion and subject matter expert for cpa, cpc, and revenue share products on Allrecipes.
- Develop and manage a business plan, which includes understanding market trends and Allrecipes business objectives and translating them into a prioritized roadmap, identifying strategic partnerships while enhancing consumer experience on Allrecipes, and maximizing revenue potential.
- Continually measure performance, through ongoing campaign and vendor analysis which includes regular reporting to continually optimize their campaigns.
- Gather and interpret data from a broad variety of sources, bringing it all together to make overall conclusions and recommendations to increase overall ecpm.
- Develop and manage standardized communication tools to communicate revenue progress and recommendations to clients, vendors, and internal contacts, clearly communicating current status and recommendations.
- Identify and manage gaps and opportunities, which includes exiting non-performing relationships.
- Recommend, develop, and implement custom client programs in collaboration with sales, including developing sales materials.
- Identify, manage, and develop target client and vendor lists.
- Define and translate product needs managing a new feature implementation process, which includes developing wireframes and cross-functional team leadership to assure on-time launch.
- Monitor market, competitive, and client trends to quickly respond and anticipate new features and products.
- Develop pricing models for new products and features.
- Attend sales presentations as subject matter expert, as requested.
- Continually improve processes and products to create operational efficiency.
- Key contact for product training for internal staff.
- Active member of the Ad Sales Product team, working together to grow current products and relationships and develop new products and relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience as product manager, business analyst, product development, or related role in a digital advertising setting.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Familiar with a variety of the product marketing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional relationship management and negotiating skills.

Director, Advertising Sales – Eastern Region
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing direct sales advertising Regional Account Managers (RSM’s) for the eastern region of the U.S.
- As part of senior sales team, accountable for achieving direct revenue goals for business-to-consumer model. As key member of senior sales team, helps develop strategic plan for sales, creates annual revenue and expense budgets for direct sales.
- Ensure adequate business support, appropriate territories, and sales and product training for the RSM's.
- Monitor performance to ensure that RSM’s and overall direct sales team are on track to meet revenue and CPM targets. Sets objectives and manages performance for RSM team. Assists in recruiting sales staff as needed.
- Accompany RSM’s to close on-line advertising and promotional sales to major accounts and for training purposes.
- Work with ad operations, product, creative, and the proposal and marketing teams to help develop effective, efficient sales cycle and reporting.
- Develop long-standing quality business relationships with key business decision makers for key accounts that result in increased revenue and high standing for Allrecipes in the marketplace.
- Assist RSM’s in developing strategic sales tactics for key accounts.
- Present and close corporate account deals as needed to support company revenue goals.
- Develop thorough knowledge of Allrecipes software systems and website (i.e. Intranet, website architecture, reporting software, etc), contact management software, and general software (MS Office) to promote understanding of technical aspects of on-line advertising, and efficient/effective workflow.
- Stay current with industry and competitive trends.
- Approximately 35% travel required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of successful consultative selling and minimum 3 years in sales management. Minimum of 2 years in online advertising sales.
- Experience in dealing with senior level executives of major global organizations.
- A proven track record of success in on-line advertising sales required.
- Strong strategic and creative thinking skills; ability to identify the key issues to close deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Have positive, optimistic demeanor and have passion for food and the future of the Internet.
